Day 1 Sat 17th February 2018
Early home pick ups as arranged, before making our way to Brisbane International Airport for our flight to Norfolk Island. On arrival we are taken to our home for the next seven nights including a light Lunch. Welcome Dinner tonight at the Resort.

Day 2 Sun 18th February 2018
This morning we have an Introductory Half Day Island Tour. This is a must for all visitors as we visit Historic Kingston, Cascade, Longridge and much more. See the famous Convict Buildings, beautiful Emily Bay, the Golf Course and the Melanesian Chapel and maybe a quick stop at the markets. This afternoon we re board our Bus for the Convict Settlement Tour. Hear stories of the first and second settlements of both convicts and the military. Visit the historic cemetery, travel along Quality Row and walk the ruins of the Gaol. Tonight we have a treat with Dinner at The Jolly Roger. A fun night at Norfolk’s newest theater Restaurants.

Day 3 Mon 19th February 2018
After breakfast we enjoy a little free time to maybe take a stroll to the quaint shops that line the road of the ‘Burnt Pine Village’ just a leisurely few minutes from our Motel. This afternoon we have our Norfolk Island Indulgence Tour where we visit a local Chocolate Factory, Liquor Factory, both with demos and tastings. Yum! We also visit some beautiful scenic parts of Norfolk. Tonight is an Island Progressive Dinner consisting of three courses at three different Island homes. A fun way to meet the local, with some traditional cuisine.

Day 4 Tues 20th February 2018
After another lovely breakfast we are joined by, Arthur Evans, a Pitcairn descendent and local historian for our History in the Making Tour. Arthur will take us on a journey of discovery visiting convict work sites and gardens an include demos of shingle splitting, stone cutting from his own home. This afternoon we have the Xtian Brothers Cheese Tour. We visit the local Saw Mill, see the novel way they milk there cows, the Islands Honey production and a lovely sample of the Cheeses with complimentary Wines. Tonight we have dinner at Norfolk’s Bowls Club and maybe meet some locals before we head to the Sound & Light Show. Set among the Convict ruins this dramatization of life in the ‘hell in the Pacific’ is told through sound, light and actors recreating the convict era.

Day 5 Wed 21st February 2018
This morning we enjoy a leisurely Breakfast Bushwalk through Norfolk’s natural rainforest, followed by a yummy BBQ Cliff Top Breakfast! There is a bus provided for any non walkers. We have a little free time this morning then after lunch we visit the Hilli Goat Tour, ’The Norfolk Way’ on a stunning cliff top at Anson Bay we meet the cheeky goats, wander the edible gardens and learn about local milk, chesses and more. Late this afternoon we are treated to a short play by the Norfolk Island Museum, The Trial of the Fifteen. A courtroom drama exposing colourful and at times turbulent past from Polynesian, European, Convict and the Pitcairn Islanders. Dinner tonight at our Motel.

Day 6 Thu 22nd February 2018
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast today. Late morning we visit, the magnificent Cyclorama. Walk inside this continuous 360 degree panoramic painting and feel like you are part of the scene. A  spectacular 3D effect is achieved in detailed art work by 2 local artists. Storyboards explain the history of the Mutineers and their arrival in Norfolk. While here we have a delicious Lunch in Hilli’s Café. We have a free afternoon to discover the local shopping area or just relax before our fabulous evening enjoying the Island Fish Fry. “You haven’t tasted fish till you’ve tried Norfolk Island Fish”. Whilst watching the sunset from Puppy’s Point on the beautiful West Coast we are entertained by talented locals.

Day 7 Fri 23rd February 2018
After breakfast we visit the Pitcairn Settlers Village. We see the original Homestead built by hand, the blacksmith’s forge, WWII Army Hut and Museum. We even have a ride in the original ‘Tour Bus’, a Model A Ford, still in original condition. This is followed by a film on the history of the Island and Tourism. A must see, especially for the men! We have a free afternoon today, maybe a swim in the pool! Dinner tonight is at our Motel.

Day 8 Sat 24th February 2018
After Breakfast this morning is our last chance to grab that special something before a early light Lunch prior to our transfer to meet our afternoon flight back to the mainland. On arrival at Brisbane Airport, we will be transferred home after a great Norfolk Island holiday experience with Lynne!

After a hearty country breakfast we join the Canarvon Developmental Road to reach Injune for morning tea. We continue onto one of Queensland’s oldest towns Springsure for lunch. Now it’s time to head to the Bobby Dazzler Underground mine, at Rubyvale, here is your chance to do some gem fossicking! DAY 3  Wed 2nd May 2018
Today we board the ‘Spirit of the Outback’ train, where we enjoy air-conditioned comfort, and spectacular views. We are booked in a seating carriage for our day journey, as sleeping berths are only available for  overnight journeys. DAY 4  Thu 3rd May 2018
Breakfast today is in town at the ‘Welcome Home’. Today we start with a town tour before  heading 15km out of town to Nogo Station. Here we experience the past and present of this grazing property, including its connection with the legendary Captain Starlight. We watch a sheep shearing demonstration, be part of the stations water run and share a home baked morning tea with time to explore the public rooms in the house. On arrival back in Longreach we enjoy lunch before some free time to soak up this country lifestyle. Dinner tonight is at the ‘Welcome Home’.

DAY 5  Fri 4th May 2018
Today’s the day for your Cobb & Co Stage coach ride along the old Longreach to Windorah mail  route. Enjoy home baked scones and tea followed by a classic Australian movie and the hilarious Harry Redford Old time Tent Show, a billy-can lunch is provided to eat during the show. There is time for a bit of relaxing before another highlight. Our sunset cruise on a paddle wheeler before going ashore for a campfire dinner, bush poetry and Starlight’s spectacular Sound and Light picture show!

DAY 6  Sat 5th May 2018
A gourmet breakfast basket to enjoy in our room today. We begin with a visit to The Stockmen’s Hall of Fame. Wander through five themed galleries displaying: Our Story, Pioneers, Outback  Properties, Royal Flying Doctors and Stock Workers. Be entertained as we watch the Outback Stockman’s Show, with horsemanship showcasing traditional Australian Stockman skills that are still used today. Lunch is on arrival at the Qantas Founders Outback Museum. Qantas grew up in Longreach, see where they worked, the planes they flew and their dreams brought to life. Tonight we enjoy a BBQ dinner and watch an open air movie under the stars.

DAY 7  Sun 6th May 2018
A gourmet breakfast basket in our room to assist in our early departure. Today we make our way through Barcaldine and Blackall where we see the legendry Jackie Howe statue. We continue south to the friendly town of Auguthella where we enjoy lunch, before travelling via Morvan and Mitchell and onto Roma. This town is steeped in colonial history and was named after the wife of Qld’s first Governor. Sheep and cattle are still the area’s main economic mainstay.

DAY 8  Mon 7th May 2018
This morning we travel along the Warrego Hwy to the petrified wood fossicking town of Chinchilla for morning tea. We continue through Dalby, Toowoomba and down The Great Dividing Range to Laidley for our lunch break. On reaching the Gold Coast it’s time to say our goodbyes to our newly formed friends at our home drop offs. What a brilliant trip to remember!

We then reboard the coach and head further north through historic Maryborough before arriving at the popular tourist town of Hervey Bay.

Day 2 Fri 25th May 2018
We start our day with a guided tour of this sugar cane city before our morning tea stop. Then its onto Miriam Vale renowned for its historic Fig trees in the Main Street, where we pause for lunch. Time to make our way to the tiny town with the strange name of 1770! The town is surrounded on three sides by the Coral Sea and Bustard Bay, it was the second landing site of James Cook and the crew of the Endeavour in May 1770. Originally known as Red Hill, after the creek it sits on, the name was changed in 1970 to commemorate the bicentennial of Cook’s visit and has become a historic landmark on the Australian map. Our accommodation is luxury, complete with lagoon style swimming pool, bar, restaurant and even a day spa on site. At Dusk we gather on the foreshore to watch the re-enactment of Capt. James Cook landing, before heading back to our resort for dinner.

Today is the main festival day! After breakfast we make our way to the Festival’s Street Parade involving local community groups with specially prepared floats. Festival gates will open after the parade, be entertained by live performances, market stalls and indigenous dancing throughout the day. Entry is included and lunch can be purchased own expense at the grounds. A special feature of the evening is a spectacular fireworks display showering over the bay. A delicious will be waiting for us back at resort.

Make sure you remember your camera today, as we join an unusual and very interesting tour, onboard ‘The Larc’, BUT you do need to be able to negotiate stairs confidently to board this unique amphibious vessel. These vehicles are equally at home on land or sea, and were originally built for the military. Sit back and enjoy this wilderness area and marvel at the fauna and flora, sand dunes and spectacular views. This tour provides morning tea and lunch with great commentary through out. After a fun day out we head back to our resort for dinner.

This morning after we farewell our friendly hosts we travel south pausing for lunch at historic  Childers. This picturesque sugar town is today a national trust town. We continue through to Maryborough, Queensland’s heritage city, our home for tonight, here we can freshen up before our last evening meal together!

Day 1  Friday 2nd March 2018
Home pick ups as arranged. We travel inland and pause for morning tea at Beaudesert before making our way to the historic centre of Qld’s Southern Downs, Warwick. Lunch today is in the National Trust’s (formerly Sisters of Mercy Convent) ‘Abbey of the Roses’ where we have some
time for a browse prior to a friendly guided tour of this historic town. Did you know that it was the first town, after Brisbane, in what became Queensland! After our tour we make our way to the “heart” of the Granite Belt, Stanthorpe. What once was a grazing and tin mining area, the surrounding fields are now filled with stone fruits and vegetables. Not only is there a wide variety of fruits grown here but a huge range of table and wine grapes. There are now over 45 quality wineries which produce unique flavoured local wines. We visit Heritage Winery for a tasting, their first plantings were in 1992 and are home to chardonnay, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Dinner tonight is at Happy Valley Retreat, here we experience the very best of local Granite Belt produce, served with genuine, country hospitality. Day 2  Saturday 3rd March 2018
This morning we enjoy a sleep in before making our way to Vincenzo’s Big Apple, showcasing the regions fine produce and liqueurs, morning tea is included here. After an interesting morning we take the journey back into Stanthorpe where lunch can be purchased at own expense. Commencing at 2pm is the Grand Parade. Many varieties of colourful floats and entertainment put on by local businesses and wineries will be on display, including a pipe band competition, international foods, grape crushing competition, roving musicians and carnival stalls. After the afternoons festivities, we return back to the motel in time to freshen up before our dinner at Anna’s Restaurant. After dinner the Festival Fireworks Spectacular can be viewed on the bridge opposite the motel (The best seats in town).

Day 3  Sunday 4th March 2018The festival markets are first on the agenda this morning. Browse through Stanthorpe’s famous Markets in the Mountains, situated undercover in the Civic Centre. We then make our way to Jester Hill Wines where we enjoy lunch and tastings. Then its onto Rumbalara Estate for wine tastings. Dinner tonight is at the Stanthorpe RSL at own expense.

Day 4 Monday 5th March 2018
We then say goodbye to this great granite belt area as we travel south along the New England Hwy crossing the border into NSW and onto Tenterfield. We then travel along the Bruxner Highway to Casino, where lunch will be at the Casino RSM. It’s then back home to the Gold Coast, with a comfort stop on route. Home drop offs after another fabulous holiday away.

This morning we depart Sydney and travel to Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley where we visit the popular Hunter Valley Gardens. An early lunch will be enjoyed here before some time to view these amazing gardens. Jump on the little train for a less strenuous way to view these gardens. There are ten stunning feature gardens, including the Storybook garden, Chinese garden, Formal garden and the Rose Garden with over 35,000 rose bushes with an amazing 125 different varieties. Next we visit McGuigan Brothers Winery. The McGuigan name is synonymous with Australian winemaking. We will have the opportunity to taste some wine before making our way to our hotel for dinner.

Day 2 Sunday 1st July 2018
This morning we travel toward the coast to Nambucca Heads. Here we enjoy a two hour morning tea cruise up the beautiful Nambucca River. Our Devonshire morning tea includes scones, jam and fresh cream with tea and coffee all included. Lunch is at Anchors Wharf Café before travelling north to Bonville, here we visit the Butterfly House, Maze and Tea Rooms, walk amongst the live butterflies in a fully enclosed rainforest setting or maybe try the Maze within a Maze. We head back to our motel to prepare for our special ’Christmas in July’ evening. Tonight we enjoy a fun packed night of food and entertainment,  celebrating Christmas in Winter around a blazing open fire, with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink, pre-dinner nibbles, a three course traditional Chrissy dinner, with entertainment and of course a visit from Santa!

After another hearty breakfast we travel to the Dutton Trout Hatchery, here we view an audio visual show in the theatre before a tour of this fascinating facility you may even like to hand feed the trout! Lunch is at the historical Hotel Dorrigo, opened in 1925 and was the most modern hotel between Newcastle and Brisbane. This afternoon is yours to enjoy, maybe stroll quaint local stores or just take in the pristine views of the Dorrigo Plateau from our motel accommodation.

 Day 1 Wednesday 25th July 2018
This morning we travel over the Gateway Bridge before pausing for morning tea at Nudgee Beach. Our journey then takes us via the majestic Glass House Mountains and The Blackall Range where the tropical north meets the temperate south creating a rare combination of natural beauty and variety, so sit back relax and enjoy the views. On arrival at Maleny the heart of the Sunshine Coast hinterland, there is time to browse through the local art galleries and shops, before moving onto Montville. Montville has a unique village charm, with a mix of English, Irish, Swiss and Bavarian style buildings. Whilst here you can purchase lunch ‘own expense’ from the many café’s or tea rooms. If your looking for that unique gift you may just find it here amongst the many gift and specialty shops! Day 2 Thursday 26th July 2018
After breakfast we enjoy a 90 minute smooth water cruise onboard a classic double decked 1930’s style boat. Discover pristine waters and the abundant birdlife of Pumicestone Passage Marine Park. This afternoon we visit a leading attraction on the Sunshine Coast ‘Underwater World’. On arrival we enjoy lunch prior to our reserved seating for the Showtime at Seal Island presentation. There is time to explore the many unique zones including, Bay of Rays, Otter Empire, Coral Cove plus much more. Dinner this evening is at the popular Pelican Waters Tavern.

Day 3 Friday 27th July 2018
Today we visit Pomona where we step back in time. The Majestic Theatre has been promoted as the oldest authentic silent movie theatre in the world, and the longest continuously operating movie theatre in Australia. We enjoy morning tea before viewing a silent movie and complete our visit here with lunch. This afternoon we make our way back to our resort with time to put our feet up and prepare for the highlight of this tour – our “CHRISTMAS IN JULY Celebration” at King  Ludwigs Restaurant at Maleny. Here we enjoy a good old Southern German style Bavarian Christmas, an experience we won’t forget in a hurry! We say goodbye to our friendly hosts and make our way to the famous Eumundi Markets to see for ourselves why these markets have such a wonderful reputation. Time then to head for home with a comfort stop at Yatala Pies before our home drop offs, after another memorable getaway with Terry’s Tours!

What a fabulous time of year to head north to our winter playground!

Day 1 Sat 4th Aug 2018
Home pick ups this morning with transfers to Brisbane Airport for our direct flight to Proserpine. Lunch can be purchased at Brisbane Airport own expense. On arrival Terry will meet us at the airport and drive us through Proserpine to our relaxing resort of Mantra Club Croc at Airlie Beach. Make sure you pack your swimmers as there is a large lagoon pool to relax in.

After breakfast we make our way to the Port of Airlie, where we board our vessel to take us over to Hamilton Island, for our exciting day on the Whitsunday’s. On arrival, we do a guided tour of the Island by bus. Lunch today will be at the beautiful Sails Restaurant in the Hamilton Island
Resort. After visiting this winter playground we travel back to the mainland to freshen up before dinner at our resort.

Day 3 Mon 6th Aug 2018
This morning we head further north to Bowen, the salad bowl of the north. We head straight to Flagstaff Hill where we enjoy a delicious morning tea taking in breathtaking water views. Terry then will take us on a tour of the city where we will see many murals depicting the towns history. Lunch will be at the historic Grand View Hotel. Next we visit one of the best regional museums in the state, where there are hundreds of interesting items displayed. Back at our resort there is time to relax in the tropical gardens or pool before dinner.

Day 4 Tue 7th Aug 2018
This morning we sadly leave Airlie Beach and head south on the Bruce Hwy with morning tea along the way to Mackay. Passing through Sarina and Carmila to ‘Exotic Fruit Gardens’ for a delicious lunch. Time to make our way to Rockhampton the beef capital of Australia. Our hotel is a heritage listed building that has been converted to a luxury hotel.

A little sleep in this morning and a scrumptious breakfast before we travel further south to Mt.Larcom for morning tea. We bypass Gladstone and continue through Miriam Vale to our lunch destination of the Gin Gin Bowls Club. Just a short drive now to the popular coastal holiday town of Hervey Bay. Our resort is right on the seaside Esplanade where youcan enjoy a relaxing stroll. Dinner tonight at the hotel.

Bring your camera today! After breakfast we get ready for an exciting cruise on the water! The purpose built ‘MV Whalesong’ has the latest technology designed for safety, comfort and wildlife viewing. Their crew are known for their great hospitality and commentary. Be amazed by the humpback whales playing before their journey back to Antarctic Waters. The cruise includes morning tea and buffet lunch, so sit back & relax! After a fabulous day out with plenty of photos, we enjoy a tour of Hervey Bay and surrounds. Dinner at our hotel.
