Tuesday 23rd March 2021 Tour No. 1245 NEW TOURAgain today we head to a new venue. After our northbound pick ups we travel into our lovely Hinterland near Nerang for morning tea before making our way towards Tamborine. Nestled on the banks of the Albert River, this historic property was first settled by the Plunkett Family in 1869 after their arrival from Ireland. The beautiful old Queenslander Homestead, ‘Plunkett Villa’, still stands today in all its glory and is still run by the Plunkett family. We will have a talk and tour of the house and property on arrival. An ‘Irish’ inspired High Tea will be our Lunch for today. With an assortment of Tea Breads, ‘Luck of the Irish’ sandwiches, delicate pastries and not forgetting a selection of fine quality Teas. As the venue is not licenced, Terry will provide a glass of ‘Bubbly’ for those who want something a little stronger! After a wonderful day we travel home via Beenleigh with a comfort stop along the way.
